RICA Brazilian Orange Liposoluble Wax 400ml

The bikini line is the hardest area to wax and the least forgiving of a general-purpose product. The skin is thinner, the hair is coarser and grows in several directions at once, and anything that pulls badly there is felt for days. RICA formulate this one specifically for those zones.

Orange extract is included to brighten and calm the skin, which addresses the darkening that repeated hair removal in those areas tends to cause. The base is RICA's patented Italian formula, with glyceryl rosinate for adhesion, vegetable oils, titanium dioxide, beeswax and zinc oxide, and no petroleum derivatives.

It is applied stripless: a thin layer, allowed to set, then pulled off directly. On delicate areas that is significantly more comfortable than a cloth strip, which drags across a wider patch of skin than it needs to.

Which RICA wax? Sensitive or easily irritated skin: Aloe Vera. Bikini line and intimate areas: Brazilian Orange. Short, coarse, stubborn hair on face, underarms or bikini: Brazilian Avocado Butter. Dry skin: Strawberry or Banana, which are the same formula in two scents.

You will need a heater. This is a 400ml tin, so it needs a can-type wax warmer with a thermostat. It will not fit a roll-on cartridge heater, which takes 100ml cartridges instead. Check what you own before ordering.

Worth knowing: 400ml tin. Work in small sections on intimate areas rather than large sweeps, and always test the temperature on your inner arm first. Skin there is thinner and burns at a temperature that would feel fine on a leg.
