Pick the formula, not the brand

Every shampoo on this page is a 400ml Garnier Fructis at around Rs 1,350, which means the only decision that matters is which problem you are solving.

How to wash so it actually works

Shampoo cleans the scalp. The lengths get cleaned by the runoff. Work the product into the scalp with your fingertips — not your nails — and let the suds run down rather than piling more product onto the ends, which is how dry hair gets drier.

Rinse properly. Residue left behind is a common cause of both flaking and dullness.

When shampoo is not the answer

If hair is coming out at the root in noticeable quantity rather than breaking mid-length, a shampoo will not fix it.
