Sapil Chichi EDT for Women 100ml

Chichi is Sapil's chypre floral, in the range since 2005. Chypre is one of the older perfume structures and it has largely gone out of fashion in mass-market releases, which is precisely why this stands apart from the sweet fruity scents that dominate the same price bracket.

Fruity florals open it, then aldehydes come through the middle. Aldehydes are what give classical perfumery its soapy-clean, slightly sparkling quality, the thing that makes a scent smell expensive rather than sugary. It settles into musk, with jasmine running through it. Sapil describe the character as an enchanted forest in full bloom, which is florid but not far off.

It is a grown-up scent. If you have been wearing sweet vanilla-and-fruit body mists and want something that reads as more considered without spending designer money, this is a sensible step across.
