Alluring is the fruity-floral one. Bergamot and passion fruit open it, then rose and iris take over, and iris is what gives the scent that soft, slightly cool quality you find in classic French perfumery rather than in a standard body powder. Creamy vanilla sits underneath and rounds it off.

If you have tried Charming and found it too citrusy, or Romantic and found it too sweet, this is the one in between. It is the quietest of the three and the easiest to wear to work, because it stays close to the skin instead of announcing itself across a room.

The powder itself is the same fine milling as the rest of the range. It goes on smooth, absorbs the damp that builds under clothing in humid weather, and leaves skin feeling dry rather than chalky.

Suits: everyday use in summer, anyone who prefers a softer floral to a sharp fresh one, and layering under the matching Alluring deodorant or lotion.

Worth knowing: 125g is the standard bottle and fits easily in a bag. Shake it into your palm before applying, keep it away from the face, and give the skin a moment to dry after a shower first.
