Alluring is the fruity one in the Enchanteur range. Bergamot and passion fruit open it, which is what separates it from the rose-led scents in the line, and underneath sit rose and iris over vanilla. The iris is the interesting part: it gives a soft, slightly cool powderiness that keeps the fruit from turning sugary.

Worth knowing what you are actually buying: this is an anti-perspirant, not just a deodorant. A deodorant masks odour. An anti-perspirant reduces the sweat itself, and the active here is aluminium chlorohydrate. Enchanteur claims 48 hours of protection against both odour and wetness.

Roll-on suits a handbag better than an aerosol. Nothing to leak, nothing to set off, and you can apply it in a shared washroom without scenting the whole room.

Which Enchanteur scent? Charming is citrus and rose, the freshest for daily wear. Romantic is Bulgarian rose and jasmine, the sweetest. Alluring is fruity-floral with passion fruit and iris. Enticing is bright and light with bergamot and freesia. Gorgeous is peach and plum over white florals, the most powdery.
